House of Memories

Meet me at the museum

elderly people chatting and looking at memorabilia in the museum

Meet me at the museum sessions are dementia-friendly drop-in sessions for older people to come along to the museum for a nostalgic look at items from the 1940s, 50s and 60s. The sessions are a way of using simple things to start conversations with people, sharing memories and enjoying each other’s company.

From vintage games, to film stars and television, and food and sweets from years gone by, you’ll find a variety of things that can spark memories. Each session will have a different theme.

You don’t need to book, the sessions are drop-in, so just pop in on your own, or bring a friend.

Meet me at the museum sessions are held four times every month in rotation, on Fridays, 11am-1pm at the following museums and art galleries:

Find out when and where the next one will be on the Meet me at the museum listings page on the National Museums Liverpool website.
